This Sunday, February 22, we can emerge from our winter hibernation and go see some new faces at the Cortelyou Greenmarket!

Emily Winkler-Morey, the manager at our greenmarket, let us know that the Greenmarket Regional Grains Project will be setting up a pop-up shop with grains, beans, and flours from various local grain farmers.

“First, a major thank-you to the winter warriors who came out last Sunday to shop and compost, despite the frigid weather an small market,” Emily wrote to us. “We are expecting a much warmer day and a full house of farmers this coming Sunday, Feb. 22!”

For all you greenmarket fans out there, what are some of your favorite winter dishes to make with the items you get at the market?

The Cortelyou Greenmarket is located on Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby. It operates every Sunday, year-round, from 8am to 3pm. For more information visit the greenmarket’s website here.
