New Photos Released Of Suspect In Kiddie Store Knife Robberies
Police have released additional photos in connection to a robbery pattern involving three kids’ stores, including Pink Olive (167 5th Avenue between Lincoln and Berkeley Place) in our neighborhood.
In each incident, cops say a male enters a store, produces a knife, demands money, and flees the locations with money from the registers and the victims’ (clerks) personal property.
Only one male is seen inside the stores at each incident. The other male remains outside.
On Thursday, April 28 at approximately 4:45pm, a cell phone, credit cards, and $841 were taken from a 25-year-old woman at Pink Olive.
In addition, police say the two other incidents took place in Brooklyn.
On Friday, April 8 at approximately 5:10pm at Area Play (331 Smith Street between President and Carroll Streets), a cell phone, credit cards, and $300 were taken from a 27-year-old woman.
On Tuesday, May 3 at approximately 12:25pm at Tiny Brooklyn (493 Court Street between Huntington and Nelson Streets), a cell phone, credit cards, and $245 were taken from a 27-year-old woman.
DNAinfo reported that the employee at Area Play quit her job after the incident.
