A new Vietnamese restaurant, Pho 18 Ave, has opened at the location of 7116 18th Avenue, replacing Tong Xin Hot Pot, which opened in 2013.

According to the menu, the new eatery offers standard Vietnamese fare at reasonable prices, including pho, spring rolls, and banh mi sandwiches, as well as an extensive selection of stir-fries and rice sticks.

Before it became Tong Xin, 7116 18th Avenue was Tenzan, a Japanese and sushi joint. Perhaps a few too many hot pot restaurants have popped up on 18th Avenue, because the Tong Xin barely lasted two years. While there are several solid Vietnamese eateries on 20th Avenue and 86th Street, Pho 18 Ave adds a layer of gastronomical diversity to this particular stretch of 18th Avenue near 71st Street.

The Vietnamese eatery, which is open from 10:30am to 10:30pm each day, also delivers. To place an order, call 347-374-6633.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Pho 18 Ave, and good luck!
