Neighborhood Reopenings

The Ox Cart Tavern on Newkirk Avenue is open tonight. Most of Cortelyou Road is operating as normal including The Farm on Adderley, Sycamore (who are donating a portion of today’s sales to the Red Cross), Mimi’s Hummus, The Castello Plan and Picket Fence. Newkirk Plaza and Church Avenue are  also opening up again with restaurants such as Am Thai Bistro and Lo Duca Pizza operating mostly as normal. The supermarkets and big stores such as C-Town and Rite Aid remain open throughout the neighborhood as do many of the smaller stores and bodegas.

Marisol Ramirez from Latin Fever Dance Studio sends word that they’ve opened up again. They’re holding free hip-hop and salsa dance clases for kids (6 and up) at 7 p.m. and adults from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
