Neighbor Younoussa Diallo Died In Parked Car On Rugby Road, Near Church Avenue, Family Members Said

Updated 5:45pm: Detective Dominick Scotto from the 70th Precinct told us Younoussa Diallo had taken medication and was probably planning on driving himself to the hospital but likely passed out in the car and died.

Original post: We have some very sad news: neighbor Younoussa Diallo was found dead in his car on Rugby Road, near Church Avenue, Tuesday afternoon, two of his brothers told us as a large crowd of family, friends and neighbors gathered at the scene today.

Originally from Guinea, Younoussa was a yellow cab driver who lived at Flatbush Avenue and Martense Street. He was in his late 40s.

Family members said they were not sure as to what caused the death but said he had been “sick for a long time,” though they did not specify with what. They said they did not suspect foul play.

“He left home the day before yesterday and went to the hospital,” one of his brothers told us. “Today, a brother was passing by in his car when he saw his car. He went up to the car and saw he wasn’t breathing and called the police.”
