A neighbor is asking for the community to keep an eye out for his car that was stolen from Church Avenue earlier this week.

Neighbor Jim let us know that his 2004 black Nissan Altima was stolen from a spot outside of Bobby’s Department Store, on the north side of Church Avenue, early Tuesday morning.

The car’s New York license plate is EMG7175.

The neighbor said he parked the car around 1:15am on December 30, and when he returned at 7:30am to go to work, the vehicle that was in an 8am metered spot was gone.

Though police originally told him the car had likely been towed, there was no record of that and the 70th Precinct told the neighbor Tuesday afternoon that it was probably stolen, Jim said. After Jim met with police around 8:30pm, they canvassed the area and an alert was sent out for his plate.

Additionally, the neighbor spoke with the owner of Bobby’s Department Store with the hope that there would be surveillance video but was told there’s no security camera in front of the store.

If you see the car, please contact the police. Jim is also asking that you reach out to him by emailing jimsullivan80@gmail.com.
