Enrolling in a city-based camp, or a museum-based camp, is a great way to expose your little one to Brooklyn’s vast culture. Some of the camps, like the ones at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (150 Eastern Parkway), are only for a few hours.  Other camps, like the one run by Brooklyn Cultural Adventures, is available all day for the duration of the summer.

Summer camp lottery registration will be open from March 7th to March 16th. Register and pay online.

Prospect Park Zoo

For children between the ages of 2-17
The zoo has short camps for 2-year olds and longer camps for 12-year olds. The camps fill up quickly. Campers will have a lot of hands-on fun.

Brooklyn Botanical Garden

For 2-year-olds to 8th graders
Offers half-day camps for little gardeners to get their hands dirty. Sign up for separate morning and afternoon sessions. Staff will oversee lunch. Registration is open.
