The Floodlight Revue at The Owl Music Parlor
When: Friday, October 21 at 8pm (doors at 7:30pm).
Where: The Owl Music Parlour, 497 Rogers Avenue between Midwood and Maple Streets.
What: Don’t let the rain ruin your Friday night — check out a musical revue with saxophonist and singer/songwriter Levon Henry and friends.
How Much: $10 suggested donation.
Illegal Mezcal Music series at Bar Chord
When: Friday, October 21 at 10pm.
Where: Bar Chord, 1008 Cortelyou Road, between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road
What: Come hear “Sophisticated Groove Music” by Brooklyn-bred saxophonist & composer Tacuma Bradley and his Unity Band at Bar Chord.
How Much: Free show, but don’t forget to buy drinks at the bar.

Murder Mystery Dinner at Aviator Sports Center (Sponsored)
When: Saturday, October 22, 6pm to 11pm.
Where: Aviator Sports and Events Center, 3159 Flatbush Avenue.
What: Just in time for Halloween, Aviator Sports and Events Center is set to host a second murder mystery dinner. Following the fantastic success of the first dinner in May, Midnight at the Masquerade is a fresh story with just an amazing surprise twist at in the end!
How much: $60, tickets available online.
Love Jones the musical at Kings Theater
When: Saturday, October 22 at 3pm and 8pm; Sunday October 23 at 7:30pm.
Where: The Kings Theater, 1027 Flatbush Avenue between Tilden Avenue and Duryea Place.
What: See the ‘must-see musical event of 2016’, the Love Jones movie comes to the stage with music by Musiq Soulchild and more.

It’s My Park day at Prospect Park
When: Saturday, October 22 from 10am to 1pm.
Where: Prospect Park, Lookout Hill.
What: Join the Prospect Park Alliance and REI for a citywide effort to care for your favorite park with brooms, shovels, rakes and trash grabbers. Focus our efforts on Lookout Hill with a clean up, path maintenance and woodland restoration work.

Sunday:
Pre-Halloween Prospect Park South and Flatbush walking tour
When: Sunday, October 23 at 2pm.
Where: Meeting location provided at ticket purchase — but we’re guessing it’s somewhere in the neighborhood!
What: Join tour guide Norman Oder and the Municipal Art Society on a tour of Prospect Park South’s mansions decked out for Halloween, pre-war apartment buildings of Flatbush, and the Albemarle-Kenmore Terraces Historic District.

Friends of Greenwood Playground’s 2016 Harvest Hootenanny
When: Sunday, October 23, 11am to 6pm.
Where: Greenwood Playground, at the corner of East 5th Street and Greenwood Avenue.
What: Face painting, pumpkin painting, live music, Halloween costume parade at 2:45pm, raffles and more.
How Much: Suggested donation of $5 per family.
Smorgasburg’s last day of the season at Prospect Park
When: Sunday, October 23, 11am to 6pm.
Where: Prospect Park, Breeze Hill (Located near Lakeside and the Lincoln Road entrance).
What: Summer may be officially over but this food fest is here for one last day. Stroll over to Smorgasburg to find 100 vendors and food from all over the world every Sunday at Breeze Hill, located near Lakeside and the park’s Lincoln Road entrance. Co-naming street ceremony for George’s Restaurant
When: Sunday, October 23 at 3pm.
Where: 753 Coney Island Avenue, outside of George’s Restaurant.
What: Celebrate a moment in local history — George’s Restaurant is getting its own street name, “George’s Way” in honor of the late Harry P. Montauredes, the Patriarch of the famed George’s which first opened in 1956.
How Much: Free, but stay for a serious diner meal.
Green-Wood’s Twilight Tour
When: Sunday, October 23 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Where: Green-Wood Cemetery.
What: What better way to prep for Halloween than to explore the beautiful, atmospheric Green-Wood Cemetery at dusk, armed with a flashlight and a tour guide with great stories. The tour includes graves of fascinating figures and a stop at the famous catacombs, which are normally closed to the public. Rain or shine!
How Much: $20 for members of Green-Wood, $25 for non-members.
The Cidermaker’s Dinner at The Farm
When: Sunday, October 23 at 7:30pm.
Where: The Farm On Adderley, 1108 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads.
What: The Farm on Adderley will be serving five courses with local ciders that reflect the uniqueness of apples from our region, with meet Melissa Madden, the cidermaker from Good Life Farm. Email farmreservations@gmail.com to reserve your spot.
How Much: $65/person, plus tax and gratuity.
Sean Casey’s annual Bark block party
When: Sunday, October 23, 12pm to 5pm.
Where: 153 East 3rd Street between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue.
What: Come out for the 9th annual bark block party for costumes, pet adoption, games, prizes, raffles and live music to benefit the Sean Casey Animal Rescue center.

Uni pop-up Library at the Avenue C Plaza
When: Sunday, October 23, 12pm to 4pm.
Where: the Avenue C Plaza, at the corner of Avenue C and McDonald Avenue.
What: Read, draw and play at Uni Library’s pop-up library and game center at the Avenue C plaza in Kensington.
