Multiple Mess Ups On The D/Q & More Subway Service Changes This Weekend
Below you’ll find weekend subway service changes for the A, C, G, B, Q, D, N, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines in Brooklyn, plus the Franklin Avenue shuttle. Check back Monday to see what’s happening next week. Changes via MTA.info.
B Line
Brighton Beach-bound B trains run local from Prospect Park to Kings Hwy
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Thursday, January 15 and 9:45am-2pm on Friday, January 16
Allow additional travel time.
C Line
C trains run every 15 minutes
Weekends, Saturdays and Sundays through February 1
Please allow additional travel time.
D Line
Coney Island-bound D trains skip Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 50 St and 55 St
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesdays through Fridays until January 23
For service to these stations take the D to 62 St-New Utrecht Av and transfer to a Norwood-bound D. For service from these stations, take the D to 9 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D.
Coney Island-bound D trains run via the N from 36 St to Stillwell Av
Weekends, 11:45pm on Fridays to 5am on Mondays through February 2
No Coney Island-bound service at 9 Av, Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 50, 55, 71, 79 Sts, 18, 20 Avs, Bay Pkwy, 25 Av and Bay 50 St.
For service to 9 Av, Fort Hamilton Pkwy, 50 and 55 Sts, take the D to New Utrecht Av-62 St and transfer to a Norwood-bound D. For service to 71, 79 Sts, 18, 20 Avs, Bay Pkwy, 25 Av and Bay 50 St, take the D to Stillwell Av and transfer to a Norwood-bound D.
For service from these stations, take the D to 62 St-New Utrecht Av or 36 St and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D or N.
G Line
No G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Av
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, through Friday, January 16
No service G at Bergen, Carroll, Smith-9 Sts, 4 Av-9 St, 7 Av, 15 St-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Pkwy and Church Av. Take the F instead (note that Jamaica-bound F trains are skipping Smith-9 Sts, Carroll St, and Bergen St during the same hours).
• Transfer between A and G trains at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.
• Transfer between A and F trains at Jay St-MetroTech.
G service operates in two sections:
Late nights, 11:45pm-5am, through Friday, January 16
The G runs as follows:
1. Between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
2. Between Bedford-Nostrand Avs and Hoyt-Schermerhorn
Transfer at Bedford-Nostrand Avs to continue your trip.
Q Line
Manhattan-bound Q trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Thursday, January 15 and 9:45am-2pm on Friday, January 16
Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Av. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou, Beverley Rds and Parkside Av, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Av or Prospect Park and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B or Coney Island-bound Q.
For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Church Av, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Hwy and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.
Coney Island-bound Q trains run express from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay
Weekend, 5:45 am-6pm, Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18
Trains stop at Church Av, Newkirk Plaza and Kings Hwy.
For service to Parkside Av, Beverley, Cortelyou Rds, Avenue H, Avenue J, Avenue M, Avenue U and Neck Rd, take the Q to Church Av, Newkirk Plaza, Kings Hwy, or Sheepshead Bay and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q.
For service from these stations, take the Q to Kings Hwy, Newkirk Plaza, Church Av or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.
