Motorcyclist And Pedestrian Injured In Crash On Flatbush Avenue, Police Say

A motorcyclist struck a pedestrian last Friday, sending both to Methodist Hospital with multiple injuries.

The incident took place August 19 at approximately 5:00pm as the motorcyclist was traveling north on Flatbush Avenue near Sterling Place, reported CBS New York.

Gothamist reported that the 44-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Sterling Place from east to west. After walking between two buses, she was struck by the 28-year-old male motorcyclist.

The driver was thrown from his motorcycle, which skidded until hitting a B41 MTA bus.

The pedestrian suffered head trauma and remains at the hospital in critical condition. The motorcyclist has a broken left hand, various bruisings to his body, and is in stable condition.

CBS New York reported the city bus was stopped at the intersection during the time of the incident. According to the cops, the motorcyclist remained on the scene.

Police say the Collision Investigation Squad has made no arrests at this time.
