Monday Crime Blotter: Drunk Firefighter Arrested, 2 Missing People, Free Shopping Spree At Target & More
MARINE PARK – A firefighter was arrested for drunk driving and hitting a pedestrian after going home from a slain firefighter’s funeral on Friday.
According to the NYPD, 36-year-old Matthew Wilson was driving home while intoxicated, when his car struck a 31-year-old on Marine Parkway and Quentin Road. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and had minor injuries.
Cops say Wilson also refused to take a Breathalyzer test. According to the FDNY, Wilson will be suspended for 30 days.
FLATBUSH – Police have released an additional video of the robbery on the 2 Train last week.
To recap, on Thursday, January 10 at around 2 p.m., the suspect stabbed a sleeping man in the head and arm with a screwdriver onboard the northbound 2 subway at the Beverly Road station. The suspect stole $300 from the man and left the train. The 29-year-old victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.
Police describe the suspect as a 5’10”, 30- to a 35-year-old black man weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black and gray jacket, black jeans, and a black hat. The new video is attached below.
BROWNSVILLE – Police need help searching for a young man that went missing last Saturday.According to the cops, 16-year-old Jahill Armand was last seen inside a supermarket on 1682 Saint John’s Place on January 12 at about 1 p.m.
Armand is described as being 5’9” tall and weighing 120 pounds. He has a thin build, dark complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last wearing a black coat, blue sweater, and white sneakers. Cops say Armand is known to frequently go to Manhattan. A photo of Armand is attached below.
BED-STUY – Cops need help searching for a woman that has been missing for over a month.
According to the NYPD, 52-year-old Lisa Harris-Thomas was last seen leaving Interfaith Hospital, located at 1545 Atlantic Avenue, on December 3 at about 2:30 p.m.
Harris-Thomas is described as a 53-year-old black woman, about 5’5” tall with brown eyes and black hair. A photo is attached below.
FLATBUSH – The NYPD needs help searching for a young woman who shopped in Target and left without paying anything three months ago.
On Monday, October 29 at about 5 p.m., a 16-or-17-year-old entered the Target on 1598 Flatbush Avenue. She stole $1,700 worth of merchandise and left.
Cops describe her as a white young woman with black hair. A photo is attached below.
