A young Borough Park mom who was reported missing on Mother’s Day may have been taken against her will, according to her family.
Phone records indicate that Chelsea Michelle Cobo, 22, of 58th Street, was dropped off by friend on Saturday, May 7, at 1:45am in the vicinity of 68th Street and Bay Parkway, according to cops. She was placed at St. John Riverside Hospital in Yonkers on Friday, May 6, and a witness claims to have seen her at a restaurant in Sunset Park shortly after she disappeared, according to NYPD sources.
Chelsea’s 10-month-old baby boy is safe at home, according to her mother.
Rose Cobo, who lives with her daughter and grandson, told Bensonhurst Bean that it is unlike Chelsea to disappear without checking in.
“We are very anxious and worried for her. We are pretty sure she is being held against her will,” said Rose. “Please pray for her.”
Detective Greer from the 66th Precinct said that there is currently no evidence of foul play and that cops are canvassing hospitals, transit, and housing throughout the city.
Chelsea is described 5 feet 3 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a medium build, medium complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black glasses, a black jacket, a black sweater, grey pants (with a white line down the side), and brown Ugg boots. She was also wearing a silver necklace with a horn.
