Missing Senior: Thomas Gallegos, 90, Last Seen In Gerritsen (Update: Found)

A 90-year-old World War II veteran went missing from his Gerritsen Beach home on Sunday, sparking a search by friends, family and authorities.

Thomas Gallegos was last seen on Sunday, May 24, just after midnight in his home on Abbey Court in Gerritsen Beach.

Gallegos is described as approximately 5’8″, 140lbs, with blue eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket with red stripes on each sleeve, blue jeans, black dress shoes and an 11th Airborne Division WWII hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s crime stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
