A 5th Avenue restaurant known for its goulash and pierogies may not be around much longer, as the space is listed for sale.

Milan’s Restaurant, which has been serving up Slovakian cuisine at 710 5th Avenue, between 22nd and 23rd Streets, is available for rent at $3,100 per month, with the business — including all assets and fixtures — available for $75,000. The listing notes the space has 60 seats, four tap lines for beer, and is about 1,000 square feet.

Reviews on Yelp for Milan’s are largely very positive, praising the kielbasa and potato pancakes, not to mention the friendly service and authenticity, though it’s often pretty empty when we pass by.

Situated on a perhaps quieter stretch of 5th Avenue than some further north, it’s still got a few great fellow businesses — from Mary’s next door, to Sea Witch up the block and Jalapeño King across the street. What do you think would work well in this space?
