Midnight Crash Tears Up Multiple Vehicles Parked Along Coney Island Avenue

A middle-of-the-night collision on Coney Island Avenue, near Avenue R, Thursday ripped up several parked cars and left a trail of carnage in its wake, New 12 Brooklyn reports.

The crash happened near the intersection at 2:20am, according the the news station. Photos taken by New York Rescue Response Team and posted to twitter show an SUV wedged on top of another car.

Neighbor Floriya Vinokurov told New 12 she received a call from her husband in the morning that their car had been damaged during the night. She described walking outside to find her vehicle and several others ripped to shreds.

“I didn’t believe my eyes when I came over,” she told the reporter.

Police are still investigating the incident and were not able to tell News 12 whether it was a hit-and-run. There were no reported injuries.
