Mezini Restaurant And Raw Bar May Be Opening Soon (Really)

In the longest coming soon watch of our generation, Mezini Restaurant and Raw Bar (492 5th Avenue, between 11th and 12th Street), which posted signs back in July of 2012 that it was on its way, has finally taken the paper off the windows and, for all intents and purposes, appears ready to serve up some shellfish.

We attempted to give the restaurant a call to confirm their opening date, hours, etc, but nobody answered, and the voicemail has “not yet been activated.” We’re keeping an eye out, though, and will let you know as soon as we can dig up a few more details.
