The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man in the photos above who is wanted for “menacing” two individuals at a local subway station last week.

Police say they received a report that last Thursday, at 08:40am, a 26-year-old man (victim #1) was exiting the Church Avenue B/Q subway station when the suspect in question grabbed him and started yelling.

At this point, another person (victim #2) attempted to assist the first man. The suspect then started yelling at both of them, removed a box cutter from his pocket, and threatened them with it. Both victims fled the scene. There were no reported injuries, police said.

The suspect is a black male in his forties, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, say cops.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
