Meet The Neighbors At Friday’s South Slope Summer Stroll
Tonight is the night, folks! The first ever South Slope Summer Stroll kicks off on 5th Avenue between 12th and 18th Streets at 5pm (the avenue closes to traffic at 4pm, though, so be sure to move your car).
If you’re worried it’s going to be too hot to get out (who could blame you), the BID has your back:
The Fire Department will be opening the fire hydrant and installing a spray shower on fifth between 16th and prospect for summer strolls.

What else can you look forward to? Bounce houses for the kids, face painting, vintage cars, fire performers (!!) from 7-9 pm near 17th Street, street chess, free hot dogs outside of South (629 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street), music from DJ Ben the Beyonder, School of Rock Hot teen Band, Opera Divas (all outside of Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street), Bangstrum, Rolie Polie Guacamole and more!
