The first dairy cow calf born in the Prospect Park Zoo came into the world earlier this December. The unnamed male weighed in at 84 pounds at birth and is growing quickly. He can reach 1,000 pounds in adulthood.

The Wildlife Conservation Society says the cow’s mom, Tetley, is a Shornhorn milking cow, and her calf was sired by a Randall Lineback bull.

The calf can be seen at the Zoo’s barn with geese, goats, sheep, a turkey and a miniature horse.
