Meet the Applewood Farmer at Dinner Tonight
David and Laura Shea, the owners of Applewood, moved upstate to try their hands at farming. Tonight, you can taste what they’ve been hard at work growing, and talk to them about their experiences, at the first Meet-the-Farmer Dinner with Applewood Farm:
Over the past five months, a wide variety of their herbs and vegetables have made it to applewood’s kitchen, and now, after an exhilarating and at times comical experience raising three Yorkshire-Duroc pigs, the Sheas are proud to serve applewood farm pork as part of a very special Meet-the-Farmer dinner! In addition to various pork preparations, the dinner will highlight applewood farm garlic, hot peppers, summer tomatoes, and the gorgeous eggs from their free-range laying hens. This dinner will celebrate the Sheas’ dream of “completing the circle” in their support of responsible, sustainable agriculture.
