Meet Our New Editor, Shannon Geis
shannon geis, editor of park slope stoop

Please join us in welcoming Shannon Geis to the Park Slope Stoop team. You may have noticed her byline on a few stories recently, and you’ll see it more often now — as of this week, she is the new editor of the site.

Shannon has been living in Brooklyn for five years, working as a a freelance reporter and multimedia producer covering neighborhoods across the borough. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Oral History at Columbia University.

When she’s not reporting, you can find her reading 20th century fiction, listening to the radio, or crocheting hats — plus, she’s a runner, so you may have even crossed paths with her already while out doing laps of Prospect Park.

Please reach out to her with story ideas, news tips, questions, anything, at editor@bklyner.com or 347-829-5978. And if you see her around the neighborhood, say hello!

Everything else stays the same — reach Park Slope Stoop on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and be sure to subscribe to our daily newsletter to get the day’s stories delivered right to your inbox.

I am continuing in my position here (and for all our sites) as managing editor, so you’ll still see me around the neighborhood and in the comments section, of course. You can continue to reach me at mary@cornernewsmedia.com.
