May Events At The Windsor Terrace And Kensington Libraries
There’s still a lot left to the month of May, and both the Windsor Terrace Library (160 E 5th St) and the Kensington Library (4207 18th Ave) have schedules packed with events for kids and adults. From a reading event about rocks and minerals to chess to US citizenship test prep, there is a lot going on at out local libraries.

Preschool Storytime: From Seed to Plate Gardening Program
Dates: Monday, May 13 and 20 at 10:30am
About: Children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers, enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, and some gardening fun! Program will be held in the meeting room and in the garden. Register in person at the customer service desk on the day-of. Space is limited. Maximum 15 kids ages 3-5. First come, first served.

Disco Time with Yoni and Gilad

Rock Story Reading
Date: Wednesday, May 15, at 6pm
About: 9th grade Brooklyn Prospect Charter students will read children’s stories they wrote and illustrated about a rock’s journey through the rock cycle. Stay after the reading to investigate properties of rocks and watch quartz minerals spark! Suggested ages 4 and up. Program will be held in the Children’s Room.
Family Game Night
Date: Wednesday, May 15, at 6pm
About: Play Kinect for X-Box 360 and Nintendo Wii, or traditional games such as Scrabble, Sorry, or cards. For Children ages 6 and up and their grown-ups. Includes Dance Central I and II and Fruit Ninja for XBox plus the Michael Jackson Experience and Karaoke Revolution, the Glee TV show edition for the Wii.
