Marines in Prospect Park on Sunday

The ships arriving for Fleet Week sailed into the New York Harbor Wednesday morning, greeted by a salute from the cannons at Fort Hamilton Army base.

This year fleet week overlaps with Memorial Day weekend and we’ll be following along on Sunday when there will be a Marine Day in Prospect Park, featuring interactive and aviation static displays, demonstrations, and a performance by the USMC Battle Color Detachment.

Event is free and open to the public, and will take place between 9 am and 4 pm near Prospect Park, West Dr. at the intersection of Prospect Park West & Prospect Park Southwest. Below are a few other events taking place on Sunday in Brooklyn, and Military News has the latest full lineup.
