Marine Helicopters Land In Prospect Park Tuesday

We heard from the city earlier today to expect a helicopter landing in Prospect Park this afternoon, and it turned out to be a pretty impressive sight. Local photographer Tom Prendergast captured these shots of the U.S. Marine Corps choppers setting down in the middle of the park.

Looks like it was a test landing in preparation for President Obama’s visit to Brooklyn later this week. He’ll be coming to Pathways in Technology Early College High School in Crown Heights on Friday, a six-year school where students graduate with a high school and associate’s degree, which Obama cited in his State of the Union speech for providing students with an excellent educational opportunity.
