Mariella Brings Organic (And Gluten-Free) Italian To 6th Ave
It didn’t take long for a new restaurant to set up shop in the old Sweetwolf’s space (492 6th Ave at 12th Street). Mariella is officially open, and joins Piccoli Trattoria (522 6th Avenue at 14th Street) and Bar Toto (411 11th Street at 6th Avenue) in bringing a little bit of Italy to this stretch of 6th Avenue.
The small menu, seen below, boasts a number of organic selections, all under $20. Gluten free pasta is available for $1 extra, and the restaurant’s produce comes from “local, sustainably sourced farmers.”
We haven’t had a chance to eat there yet, but we’re looking forward to trying it out. Has anyone been yet? How was it?
