Mandee Selling Everything For $10 After Burst Pipe Floods Avenue U Shop
Women’s clothing store Mandee, at 2945 Avenue U, is having a “flood sale” to get rid of merchandise after a pipe burst and doused the storefront.
The shop, near Nostrand Avenue, had signs up this past weekend declaring that “Everything must go,” with the price for each item set at $10.
It’s not clear when the flooding occurred, and the business’ phone went unanswered this morning.
The merchandise appears to be in good condition, but the floors have been torn up replaced with wooden boards.
An employee said that they’re looking to clear out merchandise so they can begin renovating the entire space. The business won’t close for renovation until all the goods are sold off, which “could take a while,” according to an employee working over the weekend.
