SHEEPSHEAD BAY – The NYPD is searching for the man seen in the photo below in connection to a robbery that occurred last month in Sheepshead Bay.
At approximately 10:40pm on Wednesday, July 12, police say the suspect entered a residential building near Avenue V and 27th and walked into the victim’s apartment through the unlocked front door.
The suspect knocked the 58-year-old male victim to the floor, went through his pockets and snatched $1 as well as the victim’s NYS Benefits card, police say. The suspect then fled the apartment in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0″ and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a grey t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and black sneakers.
