Man Shot And Killed In Bed-Stuy Building

A 29-year-old man was shot to death Monday night (January 30th) in Bedford-Stuyvesant while trying to defend his girlfriend.

The victim, Maurice Lindsey, reportedly approached the girlfriend’s siblings and a group of men after a violent altercation at 1625 Fulton Street. Witnesses say the group left the 6th floor apartment Lindsey shared with his girlfriend after they physically attacked her. They say Lindsey confronted the group in the hallway by the building’s elevator where he was shot multiple times.

Lindsey was taken to Interfaith Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
