Updated: Two Shot At Flatbush Avenue Near Beverley Road

Earlier: A man is in the hospital after being shot at 1066 Flatbush Avenue (between Beverley Road and Duryea Place), says the FDNY. A call came in at 12pm and the victim, whose condition could not be confirmed, was transported to Kings County Hospital.

Update: News 12 says there are two shooting victims–a 24-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy. Reportedly, the man was exiting a cab when a hooded gunman described to be in his 20s first shot him and then shot the boy, who is believed to have been a bystander running away.

The man, who was hit in the leg, walked himself to SUNY Downstate, while the boy was hit in the back of the head and transported, as noted above, to Kings County Hospital–and thankfully, both victims are in stable condition. No arrests have been made so far.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. We have reached out to the 70th Precinct, and will update when we learn more.
