[UPDATE] Man Shot and Killed in Prospect Lefferts Gardens Bodega

UPDATE: 18-year-old suspect, Joshua Louis of East New York, has been arrested in regard to this incident and charged with murder and weapon possession for fatally shooting Dwayne Smith inside the deli, police announced Thursday.

A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a Prospect Lefferts Gardens bodega Thursday night, police said. He was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

Cops said they responded to a 911 call from the KHF Supermarket at 709 Flatbush Avenue, reporting a man shot inside the market. Police identified the man as 41-year-old Dwayne Smith, of Prospect Lefferts Gardens. No suspects have been arrested and the investigation is ongoing. KHF Supermarket declined to comment when reached out to by Bklyner.
