Man Shot and Killed in East New York

EAST NEW YORK – A man was shot and killed in the early hours of this morning, Monday, December 3, police confirmed.

Around 5:30 am, police responded to a 911 call for an unconscious man discovered by EMS at Blake and Van Sinderen Avenues in East New York. On arrival, officers found the body of a 32-year-old man who had been shot once in the head.

The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

An investigation into the death has been opened, but so far there are no arrests.

Update (2:45p) – The victim has been identified by NYPD as Jared Adams, a resident of Queens
