Man Robs Cropsey Ave Gas Station For Cash & Cordless Phone

Cops are searching for a man they say robbed a Cropsey Avenue Gas Station earlier this month.

The suspect entered the Shell gas station located at 3072 Cropsey Avenue, near West 18th Street, on March 15, at 3:35pm, grabbed the store’s 20-year-old clerk by the jacket, threatened to hurt him, and forced him to open the register, police said.  The suspect swiped a Panasonic cordless land-line phone and $428 from the register, before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown eyes, brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a black ski jacket with a red stripe on the back, work boots and blue jeans.

Police shared surveillance video and a photo of the suspect.
