Man Robbed Two Deliverymen At Knifepoint In Carroll Gardens

CARROLL GARDENS – The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance in finding the man seen in the below photo and surveillance footage in connection with two robberies and a burglary in Carroll Gardens last month.

The first incident occurred at approximately 11:30pm on Saturday, March 9. Police say an individual placed a delivery order with a restaurant near 139 Luquer Street. When the 38-year-old deliveryman arrived at the address, the suspect approached him with a knife and demanded money. The suspect made off with approximately $200 in cash and fled west on Luquer Street.

The second incident, a burglary, took place at approximately 12:00pm on Friday, March 22 just around the corner near 4th Place and Clinton Street, according to police.  The suspect entered a 33-year-old woman’s apartment through the fire escape window and took a set of keys, a ceramic bowl, a Bluetooth speaker, and $5 worth of coins.

A couple of hours later at approximately 2:25pm on Friday March 22, an individual called a nearby restaurant and placed a delivery order to 74 4th Place. When the 28-year-old deliveryman arrived, the suspect approached him, held a knife to the victim’s chest and took approximately $250 in cash from him. The suspect fled west on 4th Place on a kick scooter.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 18- to 25-years-old and 5’11” to 6’0″ tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded top, dark sweatpants, and black sneakers.
