Man Fatally Struck By R Train Wednesday At Union Street/4th Ave Station

PARK SLOPE – A 40-year-old man was fatally hit by a southbound R subway Wednesday afternoon at the Union Street/4th Avenue station.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 3:20pm on September 20. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, a NYPD representative said.

It is unclear how the man fell into the path of the oncoming train, however the police representative said that he did “not appear to be a victim of a crime.”
