Man Fatally Struck By D Train
A man was fatally struck by a southbound D train on Saturday, according to police.
The incident occurred at the New Utrecht Avenue and 79th Street elevated subway station at approximately 4:34am, cops said. The man appeared to be in his 20s. EMS responded and pronounced him deceased.
Southbound D trains were rerouted via the N line for several hours following the incident.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and an investigation is ongoing. Identification of the deceased is pending family notification.
