At approximately 8:45pm on Wednesday, October 25, police say they responded to a 911 call of a person shot in front of 190 York Street (near Gold Street). Henderson, who lived nearby on Sands Street between Gold and Navy Streets, was sitting at the bus stop in front of the Farragut Houses when a man in a hooded sweatshirt approached him and shot five times, the New York Daily News reports.
“He’s a good kid who works and takes care of his family,” a friend of the victim told the paper. “He just goes to work and comes home. He doesn’t bother anybody.”
