Man Falls Fatally Onto Tracks While Walking Between Subway Cars Near 25th Street

A 30-year-old man died after falling from between subway cars near the 25th Street subway station just before 10pm last night, says The New York Daily News.

The incident reportedly occurred on a Manhattan-bound R train. Police told the paper that the as-yet unidentified man died from electrocution at the scene after his arm got hooked over the third rail. According to the paper, investigators are trying to determine whether the man had been drinking before his death.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this sort of incident has happened. Gothamist notes that two people died in 2010 and one was seriously injured in 2013 while walking between subway cars.
