A 20-year-old Brooklyn man killed himself early this morning at the Smith-Ninth Street subway station, police say.
The New York Post reports, Rubin Antonio Rodriguez set his head down on a subway track allowing an oncoming F train to decapitate him. Police found Rodriguez’s body on the tracks around 2:40am.
The train operator told police he tried to brake when he spotted Rodriguez lying on the tracks, but was not able to stop in time, according to the Post.
Rodriguez reportedly left a suicide note on his cell phone which he left on the platform.
