Man Arrested In Shooting Death Of East Flatbush Auto Mechanic
EAST FLATBUSH – A 33-year-old man from Flatbush has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of an auto mechanic last week following a dispute over car repairs.
Richard Essor was arrested for shooting a 62-year-old employee of the Total Auto Care Shop located on East 98th Street in East Flatbush at approximately 7pm on Friday, September 29, in a business transaction gone wrong, police report.
The victim, whose coworkers called Gary according to the New York Daily News, suffered two gunshot wounds to his upper torso. EMS transported him to Brookdale hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Essor is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
