Make Music 5th Avenue Takes to the Streets This Thursday and Friday

And the festivals continue: next up, Make Music 5th Avenue, a two-day music blitz on the streets of Park Slope (part of Make Music NY). From 7pm to 9pm this Thursday and Friday, local musicians will turn the corners of 5th Ave between Dean and 18th into impromptu concert stages in celebration of arts/community/summer (official as of 6/20).

Since the temperature is forecasted to hit the mid-90s, the 5th Avenue BID advises you “grab a cool drink/ice cream/frozen yogurt” to go with your daily dose of neighborhood culture. And while there’s no shortage of options between Dean and 18th (Yogurberry! Culture! 7/11 Slurpees! Bodega popsicles!), I just learned the probably-old news that Uncle Louie G’s has frozen chocolate-covered bananas. Just, you know, something to think about.
