Bring the kids to Compost for Brooklyn this Saturday, February 21 from 11am-1pm to have some crafty fun — and to learn a little something about our feathered neighbors.

Families will get to make your own pine cone bird feeders at this free, outdoor event at the community garden, located on the corner of East 8th Street and Newkirk Avenue.

Check out C4B’s new bird feeder, learn about native species of birds that we see right here in Brooklyn, and make your own feeder to take home and hang somewhere to see your own neighbor birds.

Do you know a thing or three about birds in New York City? Join the fun, and spread your knowledge with some local kids! For more info, contact compostforbrooklyn@gmail.com.
