m.a.e. Consignment Shop Moving A Block Down 7th Avenue
The vintage and luxury consignment shop m.a.e. is moving just a few doors down from its current space at 453 7th Avenue (pictured below) to the former 718 Cyclery space at 461 7th Avenue (looks like the rumors of a beauty salon coming to that space didn’t pan out).
They’ve already got the awning up, as you can see in the photo above, and when we passed by yesterday, the inside was already starting to take shape. They’ll open the new space this Saturday, June 15.
Marci Dixon, owner of m.a.e., tells us that the move gives them a lot more space for inventory.
“We’re really excited about the move,” Marci said. “As my much as we loved the old store, we had seriously outgrown it. We were really lucky to get the old bike shop — it’s at least twice the size of the old space and has a really great feel to it.
“The extra space will allow us to accept far more,” she continued. “We find ourselves turning down really great pieces for lack of space, and it kills me every time.”
The extra room will also give them the chance to host more parties and events.
