Lottery Open For 2 Affordable $985/Month One-Bedrooms In Bed-Stuy

BED-STUY – The lottery launched last week for two affordable one-bedroom units at 88 Hart Street in Bed-Stuy.

Situated between Marcy and Tompkins Avenues, the ten-unit building has two newly constructed one-bedrooms available at $985/month.

The units are reserved for applicants earning 60-percent of the area median income (AMI). Annual household income requirements are $33,772 to $43,860 for a single applicant and up to $50,100 for couples.

Built in 2016, the smoke-free building includes a laundry room.

Preference for 50% of the units will go to current residents of Brooklyn Community Board 3 (Bedford-Stuyvesant) and 5% to municipal employees. A percentage of units will be set aside for applicants with mobility (5%) and vision/hearing (2%) disabilities.
