Black History Month Trolley Tour At Green-Wood Cemetery
When: Saturday, February 27th, 1pm to 3pm
Where: Green-wood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, (718) 210-3080
What: A special trolley tour of Green-Wood Cemetery, led by historian Jeff Richman, will recognize the significance of Black History Month in Brooklyn and and the deep impact that black New Yorkers have had on New York City culture since its inception.
How much: $15 for members of Green-Wood Cemetery & Brooklyn Historical Society; $20 for non-members.

ANSWERING THE CALL: A Young Men’s Empowerment Day
When: Saturday, February 27th, 1pm to 5pm
Where: Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street
What: A Forum To Discuss Mentorship, Manhood, Life Skills & Pathways To Success. Sponsored by New York City Councilmember Jumaane Williams and Borough President Eric Adams, with special guest — actor Jamie Hector. RSVP by Friday, February 26 to flouis@council.nyc.gov.
How much: Free. The first 50 attendees will receive FREE NBA t-shirts! Additionally there will be giveaways including suits & ties, gift cards and much more!

Eat & Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou: March Madness
When: Monday, February 29th to Saturday, March 27th
Where: Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and East 17th Street
What: This month-long event celebrates the amazing businesses of Cortelyou, while offering discounts and savings to our loyal community. Each week has a different theme, with merchants offering specific discounts and specials.
Week of 2/29 – 3/6, PUB TOUR: 773 Lounge; Asya Indian Restaurant; Bar Chord; Bashi Channel; The Castello Plan; Highbury Pub; Lea; Purple Yam; and Sycamore.

Speak out Against Deportations

What: Rally against deportations of undocumented immigrants sponsored by Families for Freedom

What: Live Music. Remy de Laroque and Dan Strauss are two singer/songwriters united to create a sound as strong in its sum as the greatness of its parts.
