The neighborhood go-to for imbibing while making sure your toes are shiny has left 5th Avenue.

Beauty Bar — which opened in 2012 at 249 5th Avenue (between Carroll Street and Garfield Place) — closed its doors on Monday, August 31. According to Gothamist, a “for rent” sign was posted in the window yesterday. The 1,400-square-foot storefront had been listed for rent at $8,500, though it appears to be of the market.

An email response we received from former manager Eliel Lucero states: “Beauty Bar Brooklyn is closed as of August 31st.”

The remaining six Beauty Bar locations throughout the country are currently open, including their Manhattan location at 231 East 14th Street.

We have reached out to the Beauty Bar contacts in Brooklyn as well as Manhattan and will keep you posted should we learn details about the reason for their closing.
