Lola Star’s Roller Disco Skate Parties At Lakeside Extended Into The Fall

Get our your best Molly Ringwald dress, prepare your Flock of Seagulls hair, and don your Billy Jean jackets – Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco Skate Parties were such a success this summer that they’ve been extended into the fall!

Run by Ditmas Park resident Dianna Carlin, the skate parties will be held every Friday night from 8-10:30pm at Lakeside in Prospect Park through October 11, including:

• Pretty In Pink Skate Party on September 19, when you can celebrate this John Hughes classic with your old prom gown and members from your own Brat Pack. Lola said she wants to see the best pink looks you can muster for this cinematic event.

• Just Like Heaven – New Wave Skate Party on September 26. Lola and her cast of New Wave fanatics are gearing up for this pop rock event that will blast you back to the 80s faster than you can say “Duran Duran.”

• I Feel Love – Divas of Disco Skate Party on October 3. you might have left your cake out in the rain at MacArthur’s Park, but Lola Star is urging you to come to Prospect Park to celebrate with your most fabulous dresses, gigantic wigs, bell bottoms, halter pantsuits – or whatever your inner disco diva desires.

• Thriller Halloween Extravaganza – Michael Jackson Skate Party on October 11. Dress up as your best Thriller zombie, don your favorite Michael Jackson gloves, or sport your Billy Jean jackets for the spookiest roller disco yet to celebrate the King of Pop.
