Don’t look back. by Zhanna Averbukh

Breathe in the scent of mown grass.
Make body do an easy pace;
The sun to sail your every motion
To feel the waves and scent of ocean.
Bring people to your round table
To give them food and smile and cradle
With peace of mind.  Let’s make that happen.
Please don’t expect them to be happy.
But you can try to leave them sorrow
And bring the longing for tomorrow.
Don’t ever, ever you look back.
Don’t let the bitterness make black
Your  life. Let’s keep it clear.
Don’t let the tears make you pillar.
No, don’t look back!

Let’s talk. Without screams, without tears.
Let’s talk without any fear.
Without knives, without missiles.
Please think of children’s missing kisses.
Please think of eyes which opened widely,
Could never look around kindly.
Please think of arms which will not hug,
Please think of legs that trapped in mud.
Please think of people we betrayed,
We let the evil be ahead.
We let him occupy the minds
And bring the cruelty of all kinds.
I gave the birth to kids of earth
To be alive. Don’t bring them death.

Life as I knew it by Leona Garber

Lancaster.  Ahhh ! Smell that country air.
Cruises. Blue skies and blue seas.
Life as I knew it, is no more.
But, hush my children don’t you cry.
Life as I knew it, is your life know.
Live it as if it were mine.
