Local Moms Share Thoughts On Motherhood With Duchess Kate
royal baby announcement

It’s official, Kate Middleton delivered a healthy baby boy on Monday, so our question of the day is:

If you found yourself having tea (or a beer, whatever your poison) with the Duchess of Cambridge, what would you say to her about motherhood?

Here’s what a few local moms had to say.

“Sleep is essential,” said Monika Wuhrer, owner of Der Kom and Open Source Gallery. “Kids like rules. Avoid white clothes. Write down all the funny things they say.”

“I would enjoy a beer much more than tea with her,” said neighbor Patty Cavallo. “My advice would be to breast feed. I loved it, and found it to be a beautiful experience.”

“Ice cream for breakfast is cool,” she added, “and kids should have that often.”

Carolyn Castiglia shared a line from an article she wrote back in December. “Don’t work yourself into a state of despair trying to keep up with “royal duties” when the only shit you should be dealing with for the first six months of your baby’s life is royal doodie.”

Now it’s your turn, neighbors. If you had the chance, what would you say to the brand new mama?
