UPDATED: Local Donation Spot to Help Staten Islanders

4

UPDATE 4:44PM:  we need big boxes to transport all of our goods….and we have heard from a number of people from Long Beach and Staten Island that they need tools (i.e. sheet rock knives and utility knives)

UPDATE: They have lots of clothes, but still need:

really need batteries, hand sanitizer, diapers, socks, socks, socks, water, non-perishable food (peanut butter!)

Staten Island needs us: Diapers, flashlights, batteries, towels, clothes, pet food, yard-cleaning equipment, blankets, water, food….

Neighbor Ben Heemskerk is organizing a neighborhood drop off spot – drop off anything you can:

 Today, November 3 – Noon til 8pm.

At 368 Stratford Road, Brooklyn, NY 11218 (behind the old Vox Pop)

Volunteers with cars and trucks needed to help deliver to donation depots in Staten Island tomorrow, Sunday, November 4 at 10am.

Spread the word.

  1. This is great! Will you be collecting tomorrow (Sunday) as well? I’d like to get some stuff over there, but I’m not sure if I can do it today.

  2. A friend from Staten Island posted on FB that people are also in serious need of shovels, garbage bags and face masks.

  3. I stopped by there to drop off some stuff this afternoon and they said they would be taking stuff from 7-10am tomorrow, too.
