It’s that time of year again when you get the family out to pick a Christmas tree and enjoy a hot cocoa at the neighborhood lighting ceremony. This year, Senator Marty Golden is hosting a few tree lighting ceremonies that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

Yesterday, November 29, Golden hosted the first in a series of lighting ceremonies at the Shore Road Park Gazebo at 90 Street and Shore Road. Here is a video of the festivities from Golden’s Facebook page:

The people who came out last night braved the rain to celebrate the opening of the Christmas season. Hopefully, the rest of the ceremonies will be drier. At each event, Golden and his office will be taking toy donations for kids whose families are in a tough spot this holiday season.
